Interview with Kiran Kaur

This month we’ve had the pleasure to talk more with Kiran Kaur - a Los Angeles-based fashion and lifestyle influencer. We simply can’t get enough of Kiran’s playful, yet classy looks. Get to know Kiran better and discover her favorite brands on Seezona in our exclusive interview with her.

How would you define fashion?

Fashion for me is all about experimenting with different styles and finding comfort in them. Fashion enhances my personality and I feel the best when I am wearing THE outfit! I think that one’s fashion sense tells a lot about the person, and I believe everybody should emphasize choosing the right styles. I think it’s important to understand that fashion is always changing and that it's not about keeping up with the trends. You can wear an outfit from the 1990s and still slay the look if you carry it right.

What advice would you give to young girls wising to find their unique style?

First and foremost, confidence is key! Own the style you carry, flaunt it, and be comfortable in it. Slowly build a wardrobe that is pocket-friendly and style-friendly to reach versatility within your closet. Also, stop comparing! What you have, others don’t, and vice-versa. Find your personal style by understanding your body, what fits you the most and what you feel most comfortable in. Last but not the least, do not be afraid of experimenting.

Where do you find your inspiration?

My major source of inspiration is nature. Colors mesmerize me. I jot down the different colors in a natural setting. For example, spring offers a collection of lots of fresh colors, whereas fall enhances my mood to settle in warm tones. Besides that, I also look for outfit styling in magazines and on Pinterest.

Some pieces have the power to make you feel confident in any situation. Do you have any such pieces in your wardrobe? Tell us about what makes them so special to you?

I have a suit from Alice & Olivia that I bought for my Capstone presentation. It's so versatile that I have styled the two pieces separately and sometimes together on several occasions. Every time I wear it, I feel a different kind of confidence and a sense of utter strength in myself.

What does luxury mean to you? Explain how you implement it in your everyday life and style?

Luxury means articles of distinction to me. I invest in my luxurious products wisely, so one piece can complement several looks. Shoes and glasses add a statement to your outlook, while a bag adds class.

Last but not least: which are your 3 favorite designers on seezona.com and what do you love the most about them?

My first favorite is AGGI - I simply love everything about this brand, but the colors are what stand out the most to me.

My second favorite is F.ILKK. The structured pieces and the luxurious feathers make the collection look wow!

Last but not least, I love AÉRYNE and its contemporary collection. It's affordable and has the best silk and cotton pieces.
